Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey revealed that Galataport is fully booked for the year 2021 by cruises. The expectation is 1 billion USD income per year to Turkish tourism through Galataport investment.
In 2013, after the privatization of the Istanbul Salipazari Cruise Port, Dogus Group (%81 share) and BLG Capital (%19 share) had the right to operate the port area for 30 years. Galataport has a city project with a master plan coherent with the neighborhood texture of the Karakoy region and Istanbul.
