World Health Organization named the new coronavirus variant as Omicron, which is coming from Africa to Europe, Israel and Hong Kong.
Omicron means “small o”. It is the 15th letter of the Greek alphabet. In the system of Greek numerals it has a value of 70.
The BionTech pharmaceutical company says it will know in two weeks whether their coronavirus vaccine is effective against Omicron.
Heavy fall occured in stock markets after the new variant news, especially at air travel and tourism stocks.
